Google Street View about to go live?

We all know that the Google Street View cars were around Livingston a while back. So far, the only bits nearby that are live are the M8 and the A71.

According to this article in tonights Evening News (http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/edinb ... 6134752.jp) it looks like the rest of the area is going live on Thursday this week.

The website, which creates a virtual walk through of major cities, is set to go nationwide on Thursday and will include major Lothian towns such as Livingston, Penicuik and Haddington.

Wonder who'll be the first person to spot either themselves or someone they know on Street View!

My house is already on Google Street View, albeit visible from a different road, from the one my house is on.

LIVINGSTON IS ON STREET VIEW, nearly every street is covered. It went live about 5min ago. It covers things like the txmaxx car park as well as the duel carrageway

Well I'm on it twice and so is my cat!. I followed it when I was driving a service 8 to Fauldhouse and a couple of days later it drove into my street when I was selling my Van.

Lol, neither were we - ours was done on a Thursday, the bins were out and the driveway was empty.

my house is on it and we wernt in either, it must have been taken before middle november as i have changed my windows since then.

I went on and checked a few addresses. I spotted my ex mother in law doing her garden!
Must have been done about a yr ago cos my daughters' trampoline wasn't up yet and we did that in April. As well as that, the billboards along the road near where the old bus station used to be are advertising a film that started at the end of March last yr.

well I know that all the street view images for livi were done between march and june 2009 as that is when I had my first car before it broke
